Coffee has never been $5.00. Even now our coffee prices are $3.50 and for larger sizes $4.00. Iced coffee in a tall glass is, of course more expensive.

My husband and i visited Pumped cafe today for the first time.
It could do with some signage, we had no idea it was even there.
We are very impressed, reasonably priced, fast and friendly service.
The coffee and food was great, needless to say we shall return soon.

Take Off Espresso at the domestic Terminal in Auckland is absolutely worth avoiding. I went there 19th May 2008. The staff looked like we stuffed up their day by bothering them. Sour faces greeted us. The coffee was bitter and disgusting. Stay away.

I'd say so. I recall there were two Asian girls running it when I visited.
I don't wish to be racist, but I often find that a coffee made by an Asian is usually substandard. I always wonder if it's because the coffee maker is just part of the family, and not a trained barista.

...I agree. It used to be fantastic, was run by (I think) a couple of guys. Food was awesome, staff good and the best coffee around. Clearly it's changed hands...total let down

I had an opposite experience, unfortunately.
I was waiting for my coffee for 10min, and went to the counter to get it by myself, but the coffee was already cold and also spilt (you know the sticky feeling when you spilt coffee then cup and saucer stick together after while), so I went to the kitchen to asked to do it again. THEN, they talked about me - being very sercustic - and I could hear it! I went back to the kitchen and asked them what that about, but they just pretended nothing happened.
I was not appologized by anybody - the manager ( I think) didn't even understand what had happened, and we just left.
Customer service sucks, and definetely coffee was bad.
